10 Years of Art, Sports, and Community Transformation

For the past decade, Electo Fest has grown into a powerful platform led by Warriors Zulu Nation Honduras, promoting civic resilience, social cohesion, and a culture of peace through art and extreme sports. What began in 2014 as a grassroots initiative in Chamelecón—a community affected by violence and stigma—is now a national festival that has impacted over 10,000 people across the country.

In this tenth edition, more than 200 young people participated in artistic and sports categories, alongside open spaces for dialogue on transparency, coexistence, and peacebuilding.

The festival featured the screening of the documentary “Ser como el Colibrí” (Ser Niña Association – Guatemala) and the video “Casa Cultural Warriors 2024”, addressing issues such as gender justice and climate change.

A community entrepreneurship fair also took place, with participation from multiple sectors.

Electo Fest is now a sustainable initiative—supported by local governments, private companies, academia, and international cooperation—but built from the ground up through youth leadership and art as a tool for transformation.
