Partner: Dale Una Mano a Costa Rica, Costa Rica

Dale Una Mano a Costa Rica has empowered 66 youth from three rural communities in Matina, Limón, one of the country’s least developed cantons.

These young individuals completed 12 workshops focused on building soft skills and leadership, equipping them to face challenges with resilience and take on leadership roles within their communities.

The workshops have become safe spaces for collaboration among emerging leaders, steering local youth away from violence, drugs, and crime that plague the canton.

The organization has taken a significant step to expand its services by hiring professionals to manage and grow its programs, utilizing internal talent, and employing existing leaders.

The Training Center has transformed into a safe and accessible community hub, extending its weekly hours from 6 to 40 and providing youth and alums with access to technology and high-speed internet. These resources enable them to complete tasks and continue personal and professional development, fostering lasting change in the region.
