Since 2023, Trickle Up has been implementing the Social Inclusion and Food Security Program (PROINSA in Spanish) in Ixcán, Quiché, Guatemala. The program aims to strengthen local government capacity to develop sustainable strategies that promote economic inclusion and reduce poverty.

Through the Graduation Model, PROINSA has empowered 700 Indigenous women and people with disabilities by providing access to financial education, seed capital, and sustainable livelihoods.

Key Achievements:
✔ Community Impact: 30 communities and 700 families have benefited.
✔ Financial Autonomy: 36 savings and credit groups have built a collective fund of $50,460.
✔ Entrepreneurship: 500 women have developed a Life Plan, and 700 received seed capital to start businesses.
✔ Empowerment: Participants have gained financial independence and confidence to make informed decisions.
✔ Food Security: 91% have improved food access through family gardens.

“Before, I didn’t know what to do when I ran out of money. Now I look for solutions, and I want my children to continue the business I’m building.”
– Doña Adela Eulalia Ac Sub, PROINSA participant

The true impact of PROINSA goes beyond numbers. These women are breaking barriers and taking control of their future, proving that with the right tools, it’s possible to rise out of poverty and build a path of opportunity.
