“Life in a Parachute”: A Space for Exploration and Reflection
On January they had the honor of hosting the workshop “Life in a Parachute,” facilitated by Dr. Miroslava Rosales. This space was designed for participants to explore their personal experiences through writing.
Nineteen participants—activists, educators, and facilitators, mostly women—immersed themselves in autobiographical writing, connecting their life stories to new perspectives. They reflected on themes such as love, grief, genealogy, and identity, discovering new angles from which to narrate themselves.
More than just a workshop, it was a gathering where individual experiences intertwined with collective history.
“The most valuable learning was the sense of community. Seeing my life reflected in other stories was enriching,” shared Flor Aragón, one of the participants.
