Partner: ASOCIACIÓN INHIJAMBRIA, Nicaragua
Since its inception, the Asociación INHIJAMBRIA has recognized the importance of supporting children from a young age, as this significantly impacts their development and education. This year, the association has focused its efforts on organizing recreational and engaging activities for 70 children aged 4 to 10. These activities, held twice a week, aim to enhance their social and cognitive skills.
In addition to the workshops, the INHIJAMBRIA team conducts home visits to better understand the psychosocial environment of the children and their families. This close approach allows them to provide psychological care tailored to each child’s needs, offering comprehensive and personalized support.
Many of these children live in high-risk social conditions in Managua, often coming from dysfunctional households where violence and “machismo” , stemming from structural issues, are prevalent.
INHIJAMBRIA’s early interventions create positive and lasting changes in these children’s lives by equipping them with the knowledge and skills that contribute to their personal development and future well-being.
